On November 17th morning, the Chairman of People’s Committee Mr. Le Viet Chu the Vice Chairman Mr. Pham Truong Tho and other related departments has a meeting to listen about Newtecspro Technology single member Ltd’s idea of building fishing boat with new high-technology PPC material in Quang Ngai.

In this meeting, Newtecspro director Mr. Pham Son Duong says that PPC material (Compolymer Polypropylene Polystone) is a new invention of scientists and engineering professionals from 3 European countries: Switzerland, Germany and Czech Republic which all specialized in building high-quality boats. PPC has some advantages such as: the specific weight is lower than water (0.91/dm3); anti-corrosion; no harmful toxic for the environment and human’s health; anti fouling; high elasticity and small tidal friction; anti - axid and oil products; long lifespan: 25-40 years (depends on environment and geography); it’s insulted and noise - proof and 100% recyclable.

PPC is now applied to build canoes, small patrol boats. Moreover, the company also provides experiment boat model which will be newly built with PPC such as: boats with fishing net, boats with net for catching octopus and most of all, the company will bring out the new commercial solution for building boats, replacing the old wood material with PPC.

Mr. Pham Van Son reported his investment idea and ask for the province’s support to build a factory applying new technology in Quang Ngai and investigate the producing process of 3 kinds of boat: tuna fishing boat; boat with pulling net; boat with dragging net and visit some prestige premises in the province to have more knowledge about related issue.

In this meeting, chairman of different departments, agencies estimated that in Quang Ngai there were over 5600 boats, mainly build with wood so finding an alternative material to modernize the industry was extremely necessary.

The Chairman of People’s Committee agrees on the plan and welcomed the idea of building fishing boat with new high-technology PPC material in Quang Ngai. He also commits to support the company building factories in Quang Ngai, which will boost the economy and protect the sovereignty.
The Chairman asks the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to work with related departments and the investors to agree on the plan of building a new boat with new technology PPC, and then the boat would be for rent and evaluated its effectiveness comparing to the old ones. Moreover, he also asks the government to make up a detailed plan for building the factory and compare, determine advantages and disadvantages of building boat with new technology instead of building with wood and steel.
