On December 19th 2014, in Hai Phong City, The High Command of Coast Guard held the Receiving high-speed patrol boat MS50 no. 426 Ceremony. The boat was made by the James Boat Technology Joint Stock Company and specialized for the High Command of Coast Guard 1. In this ceremony, there are General Nguyen Quang Dam from the High Command of Coast Guard, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong – the deputy minister of Transportation, other members from the Party, Directors from the High Command and other departments of the Coast Guard 1, reporters from Newspaper Tuoi Tre, Vietnamese corporation VINASUN, Vietnamese Women’s Union and soldiers from Coast Guard 1.

The patrol boat MS-50 is 13.66m long, 3.78m wide, 1.42 side high, 0.51m water-line long, and it has the capacity of 16 people. The operating zone is 20 miles far from the sea line with the speed of 30-35 miles/hour.

The high-speed patrol boat MS-50 is the product between VINASUN corporation and Newspaper Tuoi Tre which earlier carried out the project “Together we protect the East Sea” and used the fund from this project to sponsor for Vietnam Coast Guard force. This is a small kind of boat which its mobility and high speed will create enough advantages to execute the Coast Guard‘s mission.

This activity is meaningful and effective for serving the sea, our nation, and as an assistant for Vietnamese Coast Guard force in obeying the law, protecting the sea.

In his speech during the Receiving high-speed patrol boat MS50 Ceremony, the general of the High Command of Coast Guard was pleased to see the Coast Guard force receiving patrol boat so that they could make the best out of it, improve the performance, serve the country. He emphasized that staffs and soldiers of the High Command of Coast Guard 1 in general and the staffs, who was in charge of managing the patrol boat MS-50 in particular had to be thankful and proud to have the most modern transportation. Therefore, every soldier has to be more and more responsible for their mission; maintain and use appropriately the equipment.

The fact the the High Command of Coast Guard 1receving the high-speed patrol boat will remarkably increase effectiveness in executing mission, remaining the security, protecting natural sources, decreasing environment pollution, detecting and preventing outlaw activities along Northern bay coast line.
