In September 6th 2014, in Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province, the Opening Ceremony connecting the technology demand - supply in South - West Tay Nguyen was held. This was one of the activities during Science and Technology Event in South - West Tay Nguyen in 2014, which was sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology (Applying and Developing Technology Department) and the People’s Committee of Phu Yen Province (Phu Yen Province’s Science and Technology Department).

The aim of this activity was to increase applying, transferring, renewing technology among businesses and organizations in the area and apply research result and technology development into raise the standard of lives. Moreover, this was a true opportunity for organizations, departments and businesses to meet and cooperate.

In this ceremony , there were Mr. Nguyen Quan – the Minister of Science and Techonology, Director Board of the People’s Committee, The People’s Committee of provinces, cities in South - West Tay Nguyen and surrounding area; representatives from departments of the ministry of Science and Technology ; Director Board of Science and Technology Department ; Applying modern and technology center ; institutes, universities, science and technology organizations; domestic and foreign businesses ; groups which perform new technology; the media, newspaper,...

Signing the contract of applying, transferring technology

Activities during September 2nd - 6th and 7th 2014:
1. Performing the connection between demand – supply in South-West area and Tay Nguyen

2. Conference with Applying modern science and technology Centers 2014 with the theme: Building a model center that works efficiently in applying, transferring technology. In this conference there will also have the presence of Director Board of science and Technology, Director of Applying modern Science and Technology Center from all 63 provinces, cities.

3. Workshop: Connection between demand – supply which has major effect on developing economy in South - West are and Tay Nguyen. The aim of the workshop is to introduce clearly the new technology, channels which support and transfer technology according to businesses’ demands.

4. Organize training courses for Applying modern Science and Technology Centers to raise capacity in transferring technology, supporting the application of new technology in the era; guide the centers according to Circular no. 121/2014 from the ministry of Science and Technology. On August 25th 2014, Centers will be guided to build, manage, use expanse to execute the mission based on their function and activities plan 2015.
Activities during this event has important meaning not only in raising management of Science and Technology but also in making a new developing path for boosting applying, transferring technology to serve the local economy.

In this opening ceremony, there were more than 300 domestic and international departments, 1000 representatives: 50 Science and Technology Department ; 59 local Applying modern Science and Technology Centers ; 20 institutes, 8 foreign organizations coming from: Korea, Czech Republic, Malaysia and more than 200 domestic businesses with 200 projects , technology, research results and products in terms of: Reserve and Cook after Harvesting Technology, environment technology, Produce and Create new plants technology, material and energy saving technology were introduced and performed. Through this event many technology will be connected, transferred and applied widely, which is the first step to encourage applying , transferring technology in South-West area and Tay Nguyen; improve the connection  among  research departments and organizations, individuals who all produce, run businesses with the same target of building a strong, stable economy-society.
