Checking the building process of Coast Guard patrol boats

A group from Vietnamese Coast Guard and a representative of The Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper have visited James Boat manufacturing site to check the process of building Coast Guard patrol boats. This 12 billion VND boat is 13.66m long, 3,78m wide, 30-35 nautical miles per hour maximum speed.
 

Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, James Boat chairman, informed that the hull had been complete, 80% of the equipment had arrived to Vietnam, and boat is expected to be completed this November 2014.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong, Major General of the Coast Guard: “The boat will greatly support for law enforcement in the sea, as well as protecting and rescuing missions since the boat is equipped with a high speed engine”.


Major General Nguyen Van Tuong and TuoiTre Newspaper representatives are visiting the manufacturing site.

Created by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, “Together protecting East Sea sovereignty“movement has attracted 50 billion VND donation and has sent supports to Vietnamese Coast Guard, Vietnamese Marine Police and fishermans. A high speed patrol boat was donated to the Coast Guard by Vinasun (7 billion VND) and Tuoi Tre subscribers (5 billion VND).

The boat is expected to be delivered to the Coast Guard in December 2014.
