On September 25th morning, the Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee Mr. Dang Huy Hau and the Czech Republic ambassador Mr. Martin Klepetko had a meeting about cooperation opportunities and transferring technology.

In this meeting, Mr. Dang Huy Hau showed his gratitude for the visit, and he appreciated the bonding, friendly relationship between Czech Republic and Vietnam, or specifically Quang Ninh.
 

He also talked generally about the typical potentiality and the economy development of Quang Ninh Province. Beside of the advantages, Quang Ninh still has to face lot of conflicts and instability which are: the balance among the heavy industry, extractive industry and developing tourism in one same place; the difficulty of decreasing environment pollution in Ha Long bay and surrounding area.

Quang Ninh has always carried out solutions for protecting the environment. One of the solutions is to cooperate with Japanese and French organization in dealing with liters and waste on the bay and setting up environment observation which is receiving positive result.

On behalf of the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province, Mr. Dang Huy Hau hoped that international organizations would join hands with Quang Ninh protecting world’s heritage Ha Long Bay. Moreover, the province will be grateful if Czech Republic carries out more projects about cooperation, developing the economy and protecting the environment, waste water treatment process, improving the environment after mining.

The ambassador Martin Klepetko was thankful for the warm greeting of Quang Ninh province, and he reassured the friendly relationship between two countries. He said that Czech republic were willing to share experience, technology with Quang Ninh and would help with the balance between developing economy and protecting the environment. Through the help of the province, the embassy will be bridge to attract investment, financial support from Czech businesses. In the future, he wanted to have more regular interaction, cooperation between them through diplomatic meetings.
